Hamster Kombat
  • Hamster Kombat, a popular mini-game, is launching on Binance with a massive user base and airdrop.
  • The project faces criticism due to unclear tokenomics and potential conflicts of interest.
  • Despite concerns, Hamster Kombat has the potential for success but faces risks like user fatigue and price volatility.

Hamster Kombat, the largest mini-game on TON, is set to launch on Binance on September 26. The game boasts an impressive user base with 300 million total accounts, 32 million daily active accounts, 82 million monthly active accounts, and over 55 million bound wallets. A significant portion of the HMSTR token supply, 60% has been allocated for airdrops with 88.75% of these tokens available to users at launch. The remaining 11.25% will be distributed over 10 months.

Although its large user base and bountiful airdrop have attracted massive traction, Hamster Kombat has faced criticism from some within the community. Concerns have been raised about tokenomics, particularly regarding the lack of a clear utility for the HMSTR token beyond the game. While the team has stated plans to expand the token’s utility within the Hamster ecosystem, many users remain skeptical.

Another point of contention is the distribution of team tokens. Even though the team has assured investors that they will not be selling their tokens to fund the project, a section of community members have expressed concerns about potential conflicts of interest. Additionally, the pre-market price of HMSTR differs across multiple exchanges, with Bybit quoting a price of $0.1 and OKX quoting a price of $0.01. This discrepancy is primarily due to differences in the perceived total supply of tokens.

Big Potential or Big Flop? The Future of Hamster Kombat

Despite these criticisms, Hamster Kombat has several positive factors working in its favor. The project has generated significant revenue, ensuring its long-term viability. Moreover, the team’s collaboration with Gotbit, an experienced market maker, suggests that the token launch will be well-supported. Still, the project runs the risk of potential user fatigue and significant sell-off at launch due to the large number of users and the airdrop distribution.

Based on the performance of similar projects, it’s reasonable to expect Hamster Kombat to have a market capitalization of around $1 billion at launch, with a price of approximately $0.01 per token. However, there is also potential for the price to rise significantly, especially if the market maker Gotbit can generate hype and attract additional investors.

Ultimately, the success of Hamster Kombat will depend on its ability to address the concerns raised by the community and provide a compelling use case for the HMSTR token. While the project has a strong foundation, its long-term success remains uncertain. HMSTR is currently trading around $0.01. With 64.375% of the initial circulation, the circulating market value is $643 million.
